    Join us for an interactive session with Dr. Emily Tronetti as we explore the topics of agency and consent in more-than-human animals. We'll discuss what agency and consent look like in other species and why agency-centered practices are essential to the wellbeing of the animals we care for. Come to the session ready to engage in enlightening activities and discussion! There will also be plenty of time for questions and connections.


    Bio:
    Dr. Emily Tronetti (she/her) is an adjunct instructor for Husson University and adjunct professor at Canisius University. She received her Doctor of Education (EdD) in Educational and Professional Practice with a specialization in humane education from Antioch University. Her dissertation explored the role of farmed animal agency, consent, and wellbeing in sanctuary education. Dr. Tronetti also holds a Master of Science in anthrozoology from Canisius University and a Certificate in Applied Animal Behavior from the University of Washington. In addition to teaching in academic settings, Dr. Tronetti is a community educator and consultant passionate about agency-centered practices and interspecies coexistence.
