Join us for an interactive session with Dr. Emily Tronetti as we explore the topics of agency and consent in more-than-human animals. We'll discuss what agency and consent look like in other species and why agency-centered practices are essential to the wellbeing of the animals we care for. Bio:
Dr. Emily Tronetti (she/her) is an adjunct instructor for Husson University and adjunct professor at Canisius University. She received her Doctor of Education (EdD) in Educational and Professional Practice with a specialization in humane education from Antioch University. Her dissertation explored the role of farmed animal agency, consent, and wellbeing in sanctuary education. Dr. Tronetti also holds a Master of Science in anthrozoology from Canisius University and a Certificate in Applied Animal Behavior from the University of Washington. In addition to teaching in academic settings, Dr. Tronetti is a community educator and consultant passionate about agency-centered practices and interspecies coexistence.
